Vines (like children, haha!) need structure and discipline in order to flourish and produce good fruit! We spent several days re-tying the vines, replacing the ties that are too tight with new ones, so the vines can continue to grow happily :)
This day it was freezing!! So windy and overcast, and kind of miserable to be out in, but then the last day we tied vines was so warm and sunny that we all got a little sunburned! The things we go through for our vine 'babies'...
The vineyards are so beautiful, and you really do get to know the vines, which in turn makes you know and understand the wines better as well. Such an incredible interplay of nature and humanity, the life of wine!
You are now an official viner, or is that a winer...just kidding...you are an adorable little vineyard working beauty...
